PETERSEN MEDIA: Checking in at Port City Raceway on Saturday night, Garth Kasiner put in an extremely strong effort on a hooked up and fast surface as he charged from 19th to finish 10th in the ‘A’ Class.
Lining up scratch on the field aboard his West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products backed No. 21G entry in heat race action, passing would be nearly non existent on the fast surface as Kasiner would finish where he started in seventh.
With his heat race finish putting him back in the 19th starting position in the feature event, the California native would have his work cut out for him on a tricky racing surface.
Kasiner would have a very strong machine under him in the feature event as he was able to carve his way through the field and simply put it where they weren’t as the expression goes after getting involved in an opening lap tangle that caused some nose wing damage.
Despite having a damaged nose wing that altered the handling of his car, Kasiner was still very smooth and strong as he made the adjustment from the driver seat and was able to move forward and avoid a couple of near incidents.
Working his way into the Top-10, Kasiner closed his night with a hard fought 10th place finish.
