PETERSEN MEDIA: Spending some downtime testing out the new Arkoma Speedway in Arkoma, OK, Garth Kasiner took part in the track’s first race on Friday night and had a great run that saw him finish third in the feature event.
Lining the West Hills Oil/CS9/Security Race Products No. 21G up in the seventh starting position for his heat race, the California native would dazzle the crowd as he worked his way up to a second place finish.
Lining up third in the feature event, Kasiner would slip back to fourth when the green flag was displayed to the field. Searching high and low on the racy Arokoma Speedway surface, Kasiner would take a liking to the bottom groove in the early goings of the race.
Continuing to hit his marks, Kasiner would bike hard in one and two but the youngster wouldn’t flinch and he would race out of it and continue to run fourth. Inching in on third place, Kasiner’s persistence would pay off as he would make a move late in traffic to secure the final position on the podium.
Saturday night Kasiner would return to action looking to put a tough night last week behind him.
Lining up fifth in his heat race, the Five Points, CA wheelman had a very strong car under him as he would race his way to pick up the win. Moving into the feature event, Kasiner would find himself in the sixth row for the finale.
Getting into the wall when the race came to life, Kasiner would limp around the speedway slowing down and would eventually get turned around and his night would come to an end.
