Kenny Allen Takes Wild Ride in Antioch, CA
PETERSEN MEDIA: Kenny Allen returned to action on Saturday night in Antioch, CA only to see his night end with him taking a wild ride following contact from a fellow competitor.
“We took a big one on Saturday night, but fortunately all of our safety gear did it’s job and I am okay,” Allen said. “I know we tore up some equipment though.”
Checking in at Antioch Speedway to go to work with the new SCCT, Allen would get his night started off by timing the Chico Truck and RV/Dawson Landscaping/Lane Tractor Service backed No. 7k machine in fifth fastest during his time trial group.
From his third row starting position, Allen would take advantage of some rough driving taking place in front of him as he snuck into the third and final transfer position and transferred directly into the 30-lap ‘A’ main event.
Taking the green flag from the 17th starting position, Allen went to work against a stout field of cars on an extremely difficult racing surface provided to the field on this night.
Doing what he could, the Chico, CA wheelman would feel contact from another driver send him into the wall and into a series of wild flips. Though he would escape the wreckage uninjured, his night would come to an early end.
“We had engine issues the last time out, and then this flip so that is kind of disappointing,” Allen said. “We will put it back together and try again. I have to thank my dad and everyone that helps us out.”

ON TAP: Allen was hoping to make the trip to Bakersfield, CA on Saturday night, but at this time he is not sure if we will still be able to take part in the King of the West season opener.
