Kerry Madsen Looking To Defend ‘Home’ Turf Against World of Outlaws

PETERSEN MEDIA- Cutting his teeth in American Sprint Car racing at the Knoxville Raceway, St. Marys, NSW native, Kerry Madsen, will look to defend his home turf this Friday and Saturday night as the World of Outlaws come into town for a two- night showdown this weekend.
“We were really good at Knoxville the last time we ran there a couple of Saturday’s ago, and we are looking to see if we can’t pick up another World of Outlaws win or two this weekend,” Madsen said.
Coming in off of a weekend that saw him finish ninth with the series at the I-96 Speedway during a rain shortened feature event, and 11th at the Fremont Speedway after working his way forward from the back of the pack, Madsen is looking forward to seeing how his Keneric Health Care/Keneric Racing/American Racing Custom Wheels machine stacks up this weekend.
“Last weekend we had a pretty good car, we just didn’t get the finishes we wanted,” Madsen added. “Friday night we had to go to the back and we came back up to finish 11th, and on Sunday the race was called short due to the rain. The boys have been working hard, and we are all pretty excited for this weekend’s events.”
Running his own true outlaw schedule, Madsen has seen success already with the World of Outlaws this year with his weekend sweep at the Eldora Speedway. This weekend will see ‘The Mad Man’ again on one of his favorite tracks, and should be a threat during both nights of action.
“Our shop is down the road from Knoxville Raceway, and we like to get there when we can because it is a home race for our team,” Madsen added. “To run well this weekend would be huge for our team, the Gavranich family, and everyone who supports us.”
