Kerry Madsen Poised For Strong Showing At World Finals
PETERSEN MEDIA- In just one week, Kerry Madsen and his Keneric Racing/American Racing team will hit the surface for the final weekend of action with the World of Outlaws in 2015, and Madsen is focused on ending the season on a high note during the World Finals in Charlotte, NC.
“It has been a pretty tough last month of the season for us, and we are focused on having a strong weekend in Charlotte, NC,” Madsen said. “You go into every race looking to win, but with this being the season finale, a strong weekend goes a long way towards preparations for 2016.”
Heading into the World Finals, Madsen looks to build off of his Top-10 run at the Dirt Track in Charlotte when the series made their lone stop back in May over the Memorial Day Weekend with this Keneric Racing/American Racing Custom Wheels team.
“This is a tough weekend of racing, and we have made a strong effort to ensure that we are prepared to have a great result.” Madsen added. “We have had some great support from the Gavranich family and everyone at American Racing Custom Wheels all year long, and we would love a marquee win to close out the season.”
During last year’s World Finals season finale event, Madsen had a strong showing aboard his American Racing Custom Wheels No. 29 machine that helped him secure a career best finish of fourth in the season standings, and coming into this season’s finale, Madsen is again striking distance of tallying a fourth place finish with ‘Greatest Show On Dirt’.
The World Finals will kick of on Thursday night with Madsen and company qualifying for both the Friday and Saturday night program. Friday and Saturday will see the Keneric Racing/American Racing team run heat races and feature events as the 2015 season will come to a close when the checkered flag flies on Saturday night.
“It has not been the season we were hoping for, but we are definitely going to do what we can to end the season on a high note, and give our fans, and sponsors something to look forward to in 2016,” Madsen added.
