PETERSEN MEDIA: Long hours and late nights came finally came to fruition on Saturday night for the Tiner Hirst Enterprise team, as Kyle Hirst guided the No. 94 entry to an eighth place finish during the team’s 2019 debut on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway.

“It was great to get back to the track, but I definitely felt a little out of shape,” Hirst said with a smile. “We had a good car, and it was a hard fought eighth place finish after starting back in 14th.”

With 32 cars on hand, Hirst opened the night up by timing the Tiner Hirst Enterprise/Larry Davis Farms/GP Development backed no. 94 machine in fifth quickest in his time trial group.

Lining up fifth in his heat race, the Paradise, CA driver would go to work in his heat race, as his fourth place finish would be enough to propel him directly into the 35-lap Sprint Car Challenge Tour feature event.

On the rough and tumble speedway, Hirst would get off to a slow start as he would be mired in traffic and looked to keep his nose clean in what was a wild opening half of the race.

Working his way into the Top-10, Hirst would get the elbows up as he battled with Ryan Bernal and Ryan Robinson. Able to clear that duo, Hirst would find himself battling hard with Tony Gualda and Justin Sanders in the race’s closing laps.

Getting all he could out of the immaculate THE No. 94, Hirst capped the team’s firs night out with an eighth place finish.

“We have good speed, and we want to be better than eighth, but we did all we could on Saturday,” Kyle Hirst said. “Good first night out, I shook off some rust, and I am looking forward to doing it again with all of these guys.”

Steven Tiner Racing team would like to thank Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Larry Davis Farms, GP Development, Wright Process Systems, Fisher Racing Engines, SRP, Wilwood, XYZ Machine, DMI, HRP, Kevin Sharrah Designs, Prior Engineering, System One Pro Ignition, Sweet Manufacturing, Schoenfeld, Warehouse Paint, and Roseville Precision for their continued support.
