Kyle Hirst and Tarlton Motorsports Score Another Big Win In Chico, CA

PETERSEN MEDIA- The Kyle Hirst/Tarlton Motorsports combination is proving to be a tough combo to beat, as the team used some late race heroics on Saturday night to score the David Tarter Memorial in Chico, CA to give them their second win in four starts together.
“That was a fun race on Saturday night, and I hope everyone enjoyed it,” Kyle Hirst said. “The rain has kept us from getting some more starts together, but we are all really pleased how quickly things have come together with this Tarlton Motorsports team.”
Timing the Roth Motorsports/Elite Landscape Construction/Tarlton and Son, Inc. backed No. 21x machine in ninth fastest, the Paradise, CA driver would pick up the win during his heat race and find himself in the nightly dash.
Finishing eighth in the Dash, Hirst would grid the field from the fourth row for the 35-lap feature event ran in honor of the late David Tarter. Winning the race in 2014 from the 16th starting spot, Hirst would look to turn in another charge to earn his second event victory.
Flexing his muscle on the ¼ mile Silver Dollar Speedway, Hirst methodically worked his way into the Top-Five as the race clicked off laps at a torrid pace. Working into the third spot, Hirst would play cat and mouse with the lead duo of Sean Becker and Michael Ing.
Getting into the second spot with just four laps to go aboard the Executive Auto Sales/Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino/Pabco Gypsum entry, Hirst would not be done just yet.
With the white flag in the air, Hirst would drag race Ing into turns one and two and would pull ahead as the duo exited turn two. Clearing him down the backstretch, Hirst would come home with the win much to the crowd’s delight, as he again stopped his machine in turn four and saluted the Tarter family and their friends.
“To win like that is just awesome,” Hirst said. “I really want to thank everyone that makes it possible to drive this Tarlton Motorsports/Roth Motorsports car. Paul Baines and the guys do a great job and hopefully we can keep picking up wins this summer.”
Kyle Hirst and the Tarlton Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Motorsports, Elite Landscape Construction, Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, Corporate America Investments, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2016 season.
