PETERSEN MEDIA: Returning to Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA on Saturday night for the completion of the Peter Murphy Classic, Kyle Hirst and the Tiner Hirst Enterprise team put together another great night as Hirst picked up a fourth place finish.
“It was a good night,’ Kyle Hirst said. “We are having a lot of fun racing together, and we have a lot of speed. I think we are good enough to win a couple of these things, and looking forward to getting THE into victory lane.”
Locked into the show due to his third place finish back on May 17th, Hirst would finish fourth in the Pole Shuffle, meaning he would take the green flag from the second row on Saturday night.
Jumping into third, Hirst would give chase to the lead duo of Rico Abreu and Dominic Scelzi in the early goings. Getting into second in traffic, Hirst’s efforts would be negated and he would go back to third.
Back underway, the Paradise, CA driver would continue to run in the third position until a late restart saw Bud Kaeding get the best of him and relegate him to fourth.
Unable to get back on the podium, Hirst would take the checkered flag with a fourth place finish to cap the night.
“We would have loved to have been back up on the podium, but great night of racing,” Hirst added. “Great event that Peter Murphy puts on, and glad we were able to be a part of it.”
