PETERSEN MEDIA: It was only fitting that Kyle Hirst and Tiner Hirst Enterprise scored their first win together during a race that means so much to so many involved with the team. Friday night, Hirst parked the THE No. 94 machine in victory lane for the first time in 2019, and captured ‘The Tarter’ for the fifth time in his career.

“It means a lot to get this THE car into victory lane,” Kyle Hirst said. “Steven, myself, and all these people that support us have been working extremely hard and to do it at the Tarter makes it just that much more special.”

Checking in at Silver Dollar Speedway for the first time in 2019, Hirst got his night started off by timing the Tiner Hirst Enterprise/Larry Davis Farms/GP Development backed No. 94 machine in 8th quickest in time trials.

By way of his second place finish in heat race action, ‘KH’ would line up in the second row for the 35-lap feature event. Quickly jumping up into third, Hirst would spend much of the race stalking the likes of Kyle Offill and Chelsea Blevins who battled in front of him.

Powering to the lead on the 28th lap, Hirst would pound the high side of the speedway until Blevins showed her nose to him on the bottom groove.

Able to keep her at bay, Hirst would drop down to the bottom, and fend her off to capture his fifth career Tarter Memorial win.

Making the quick turnaround on Saturday night, the THE team traveled to Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA for another round of Sprint Car Challenge Tour action.

Timing in second fastest in his qualifying group, Hirst would power to a win in his heat race before finishing second in the Dash.

When the feature event went green Hirst would nail the first start only to see the yellow flag negate it, and when the race finally went green he settled into second as he chased after Justin Sanders.

Slipping back into third as DJ Netto was able to get by on the tricky Keller Auto Speedway surface, the gloves seemed to come off in front of Hirst as the battle up front headed up.

Continuing to run in third, close quarters action saw the likes of Hirst, TK, Sanders, and Netto all duking it out.

In the end, Hirst would come with a third place finish and leave Hanford the with SCCT point lead.

“To be able to do what we do in limited starts is pretty cool,” Hirst said. “We’d love to race more, but we are having a great time focusing on our work at the shop and building our business up. It is a great time to come out and race, and it’s even that much for fun when you are winning races and battling up front.”

Steven Tiner Racing team would like to thank Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Larry Davis Farms, GP Development, Wright Process Systems, Fisher Racing Engines, SRP, Wilwood, XYZ Machine, DMI, HRP, Sway Away, Kevin Sharrah Designs, Prior Engineering, System One Pro Ignition, Sweet Manufacturing, Sway Away, Schoenfeld, Warehouse Paint, and Roseville Precision for their continued support.
