Kyle Hirst and Tiner Hirst Enterprise Make 2020 Debut at Placerville Speedway and SDS

PETERSEN MEDIA: Finally getting the Tiner Hirst Enterprise house car out over the weekend for the first time in 2020, Kyle Hirst would charge to a 13th place finish on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway before finishing ninth at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA on Sunday night.
“It was a good weekend, and fun to the get the Tiner Hirst Special out,” Kyle Hirst said. “We had good speed both nights, we just struggled a little bit in the slick.”
Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Hirst timed the THE/Larry Davis Farms backed No. 94x machine in sixth fastest in his qualifying group. Lining up sixth in his heat race, the Paradise, CA driver would pocket a sixth-place finish in his heat and be forced into the 12-lap semi.
Finishing second in the ‘B’, Hirst moved into the 25-lap Mark Forni Classic feature event, where he had his work cut out for himself as he took the green flag from the 22nd starting position.
On the slick racing surface, Hirst would slowly work his way forward as he searched all around the ¼ mile bullring for grip. Getting near the Top-10 during the race’s waning laps, Hirst would close the night out with a 13th place finish.
Checking in at Silver Dollar Speedway on Sunday night, Hirst would kick his night off by timing in ninth fastest in time trials with 39 cars checked in to do battle.
Picking up the heat race win, Hirst moved into the feature event where he would take the green flag from the second row for the 25-lap feature event. ,
When the race came to life, Hirst would settle into the fourth position as he worked around the ¼ mile, in what was the track’s first race since early March.
Slipping back to sixth at the race’s halfway point in close quarters racing action, Hirst would then make contact with another driver on the 12th lap and he would do a 360 and lose a handful of positions.
Falling back to 10th, Hirst would get back up to ninth, where he would go on to finish.
“I made a little mistake on Sunday night that cost us a Top-5,” Hirst said. “Other than that I had a fun weekend, and we will do a little homework before our next race.”
