PETERSEN MEDIA: Putting a tough Friday night behind him at the Fall Nationals, Kyle Offill and the Team KO group came out on Saturday night and went toe-to-toe with some of the regions best and finished 16th in the 40-lap feature event.

“Friday night was an off night for our team,” Offill said. “I didn’t time in to well, and I had some steering issues in our heat and we ended up in the C,” Offill said. “Brad Goebel, and my Dad worked hard Saturday night, and we had a pretty good car and were able to come away with a good finish on a rubber down track.”

Saturday night at the 25th Annual Fall Nationals finale, Offill kicked things off by timing the Ochoco West/Boise Cascade/Reliable Lumber backed No. 2K machine in seventh quickest in his qualifying flight.

Lining the Country Builders Construction/Maas Brothers Powder Coating/Offill Family farms machine up on the front row of his heat race, Offill was up to the task at hand as he was able race his way into the 40-lap feature event.

Lining up 11th in the feature event, Offill would battle around the extremely slick Silver Dollar Speedway surface looking to secure a spot in the Top-10. A windy night caused for abrasive track conditions and the Silver Dollar Speedway would start to take rubber.

With a few other drivers getting to the rubber before the Tracy, CA youngster was able to find it, he would lose a few positions as laps clicked off. Getting to the rubber, Offill would find himself back in the 16th spot as he raced with Geoff Ensign and Justyn Cox.

Trying a few things outside the rubber, Offill was unable to make any grip to gain any positions so he would get in line and take the checkered flag in the 16th spot.

“It was a good learning experience to get on a track like that and be forced to move around and find the groove,” Offill said. “It wasn’t the result we wanted, but like I said, Brad gave me a really good car and we had some fun.”

Team KO Racing would like to thank Ochoco West, Boise Cascade, Reliable Lumber, Maas Brothers Powder Coating, TMAC Motorsports, Offill Family Farms, Golden State Lumber, Inc., California TrusFrame, Lord & Sons, Inc., B&S Hacienda Auto Body, Country Builders Construction, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, HRP, Taco Bravo,  and Bacchetti Hay Service for their support this year.
