PETERSEN MEDIA: Taking part in the inaugural Nor Cal Posse Shootout in Placerville, CA over the weekend, Kyle Offill is ready to put a tough weekend behind him with another big two-night race on tap this weekend.

“It was a tough weekend,” Kyle Offill said. “We didn’t get timed in well, and we had a couple of things not go our way that really could have made the weekend salvageable. Brad Goebel, and Alex Johnson, who flew out for the weekend, really gave me a great car all weekend long, we just don’t have much to show for it.”

Timing in 30th quickest in time trials, Offill would have his work cut out for him with points being given out each time cars hit the track. In an early hole, Offill would finish eighth in his heat race and be forced into the night’s B Main.

Working his way into the sixth and final transfer position, Offill would be forced to the work area with a flat tire. Making repairs, Offill would go out and get as many points as he could as his night would end with a 13th place finish in the semi.

Back at it on Saturday night, Offill would have more bad luck in his first heat as contact with another car would be forced back to the pit area and he would be scored ninth.

Finishing third in his second heat race, Offill would line up in the 11th spot in the night’s B Main event. Battling in the semi, Offill would wind up finishing 11th and his weekend would come to a close.

“If we are able to get through the Friday night B, I think that changes our entire weekend,” Offill added. “Saturday night we were just kind of in the wrong place at the wrong time. Like I said, Brad, Alex, my dad, and everyone really did a good job, and hopefully we can have a better weekend in Chico.”

Team KO Racing would like to thank Ochoco West, Boise Cascade, Reliable Lumber, Maas Brothers Powder Coating, TMAC Motorsports, Offill Family Farms, Golden State Lumber, Inc., California TrusFrame, Lord & Sons, Inc., B&S Hacienda Auto Body, Country Builders Construction, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, HRP, Taco Bravo,  and Bacchetti Hay Service for their support this year.

2017 BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 29, Wins: 2, Top 5’s: 2, Top 10’s: 7

ON TAP: Kyle Offill and Team KO Racing will get right back to work this weekend as they are slated to participate in the Fall Nationals at Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday and Saturday night.
