Kyle Offill Set for Fall Haul Following Huset’s Debut

PETERSEN MEDIA: Continuing to visit a lot of race tracks for the first time as a driver is 2020, Kyle Offill was able to cut his first laps at Huset’s Speedway over the weekend and now will make a return trip to 34 Raceway for this weekend’s Fall Haul.

“Getting to Huset’s for the first time as a driver over the weekend was really cool,” Kyle Offill said. “As soon as I rolled on to the speedway, I knew it would instantly become one of my favorites.

Hitting the speedway on Friday night, Offill would get his night started off well as he timed the Country Builders/Ochoco West/Brown and Miller backed No. 88 entry in eight fastest in his qualifying group.

Moving into heat race action, Offill would do a nice job of recording a fourth-place finish in his first competitive laps on the high banked bullring, and it would result in him transferring directly into the feature event.

Lining up 16th in the feature event, the slick Huset’s Speedway surface would ultimately take rubber early in the feature event. Able to pick up a couple of positions before passing became tough, Offill would cross the stripe with a 14th place finish.

Saturday night the Tracy, CA driver checked back into the South Dakota facility for the track’s final event of 2020.

Timing in 10th fastest in his time trials flight on this night, Offill’s fifth place finish in his heat race would put him 18th on the starting grid in the feature event.

On a surface that was much racier on this night, Offill was able to make some gains early as he worked his way up to 12th before spinning out to avoid a stalled car.

Relegated to the tail end of the field, Offill continued to show a ton of speed on the foreign surface as he was able to battle his way back up to an 11th place finish.

“I am really excited to have Dillon Paddock back with us, and I think we had a really good car on Saturday,” Offill added. “I wish we could have started a little further up in the field, but I am confident in our package as we head to Burlington, IA this week.”

Kyle Offill would like to thank Country Builders, Ochoco West, Brown and Miller, Maas Bros., Reliable Lumber, Boise Cascade, Offill Family Farms, Weld Wheels, HRP, FK Shocks, Arai America Helmets, Hinchman Racewear, Maxim Chassis, and B. Scadden Design for their continued support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 26, Wins: 1, Top 5’s: 2, Top 10’s: 6

ON TAP: Offill will be in action on Saturday night at the 34 Raceway in Burlington, IA.
