Kyle Offill Set to Kick Off 2018 at Chili Bowl Midget Nationals

PETERSEN MEDIA: After he accepts his 2017 Garth E. Moore Insurance Services Rookie of the Year award with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour on Saturday night, Kyle Offill will make his way to Tulsa, OK to kick off his 2018 season during the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.

“I really have to thank Davey Ray and Team Raypro for another opportunity to run the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals,” Kyle Offill said. “I really want to try and build off last year and have another good run.”

Following a strong 2017 season that saw the Tracy, CA driver compete in his rookie season aboard a winged 360 Sprint Car, Offill was able to pick up two feature event victories and seven Top-10 finishes while competing with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour, as well as making appearances at Antioch Speedway, Ocean Speedway, and Placerville Speedway for weekly shows.

Much like his 2018 season, Offill opened his 2017 season up at the Chili Bowl and put together a respectable rookie outing. During his qualifying night, the youngster would finish third in his heat race before moving up to an eighth place finish in his qualifier.

Finishing 10th in his qualifying night, ‘B’, Offill would find himself in the sixth row of a Saturday night ‘F’ Main where he would move forward and cap his week off with a seventh place finish.

With another year under his belt, Offill will climb back aboard a Team Raypro Midget and give it another shot kicking off with practice on Monday night before hitting the track at the Tulsa Expo Center for his qualifying night on Tuesday.

“Aside from Team Raypro, I also have to thank Bachetti Hay Service, Offill Family Farms, and Country Builders Construction for all of their support as well,” Offill added. “I am excited, and looking forward to starting 2018 off on a positive note.”
