Kyle Offill Takes Good With the Bad With SCCT

PETERSEN MEDIA: Saturday night in Petaluma, CA, Kyle Offill took the good with the bad, as some on track incidents would end his night in the ‘B’ Main.
“We felt really good after time trials,” Kyle Offill said. “We laid down a good lap, and we were in a good spot, but unfortunately we got caught up in a couple on track incidents and it ended our night.”
With 49 cars checked into the pit area at Petaluma Speedway, Offill timed his Ochoco West/Boise Cascade/Reliable Lumber backed No. 2k sprinter in fourth fastest in his qualifying group.
Lining up on the pole of his heat race, Offill would go toe-to-toe with some of California’s best as he vied for a direct transfer to the ‘A’ main. Battling for position, contact would occur and it would result in Offill spinning wildly and causing damage to his mount forcing him back to his trailer.
Team KO Racing would go to work in the pits and get the Tracy, CA driver’s car ready for the B Main. Lining up 11th in the semi, Offill would get off to a good start as he would pick up positions in the opening laps before the race got a bit wild.
On the third lap, a car would lose the handle in front of Offill, and with nowhere to go the youngster would get collected, and with damage too severe to fix quickly, his night would come to an early end.
“I felt pretty good in my heat and the ‘B’, but we just got caught up in a couple of wrecks,” Offill added. “Thanks to my crew for working so hard and getting us back on the track after our heat race wreck.”
Team KO Racing would like to thank Ochoco West, Boise Cascade, Reliable Lumber, Maas Brothers Powder Coating, TMAC Motorsports, Offill Family Farms, Golden State Lumber, Inc., California TrusFrame, Lord & Sons, Inc., B&S Hacienda Auto Body, Country Builders Construction, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, HRP, and Bacchetti Hay Service for their support this year.
2017 BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 7, Wins: 1, Top 5’s: 1, Top 10’s: 1
