PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting to Red Bluff, CA for one final time before the extended Christmas and New Years break, Aiden Larimer made it count as the youngster from Merced, CA was dominant en route to his sixth win of the season.
With 24 Beginner Box Stocks checked in at the Tehama County Fairgrounds facility, Larimer got off to a bit of a shaky start as he timed the Cornaggia Farms/Stone Motorsports/Mark Sutton Construction No. 5 entry in 11th quickest in time trials.
Based on his time Larimer would not be eligible for the Dash and it would cost him championship points before heat racing and feature events got underway. Lining up fourth in his heat race, the young stand out was on his game and wasted no time working his way forward and picking up the win.
Looking to continue his dominance at Red Bluff in 2017, Larimer would find himself on the front row of the feature event as he was in search of another Beginner Box Stock win at the facility.
When the green flag dropped on the “A”, Larimer dropped the hammer and began pulling away from the field. On the tight confines of the indoor facility, Larimer turned in extremely smooth laps as he continued to gap the field.
Leading lap after lap, the youngster would take the final checkered flag of 2017 as he heads into the break win six wins to his credit.
