PETERSEN MEDIA: Making a return trip to Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night with the Tiner Hirst Development team, Ben Worth would again be pleased with his speed, though late contact would hinder his result.
“It was another fun night of racing at Silver Dollar Speedway,” Ben Worth said. “We were really fast again, but a little tangle up late definitely hampered our result.”
Timing the Tiner Hirst Enterprise No. 94THentry in 11thquickest in qualifying time trials, the Coalinga, CA driver would race his way to a third place finish in heat race competition.
Gridding the field from the 11thstarting position, Worth would jump into the Top-10 when the racing action commenced. Getting as high as eighth, Worth would settle into 10thas he continued to get comfortable on the northern California bullring.
Working his way back up to 8thlate in the race, Worth would find himself in a lap 26 tangle that would bring his night to an end just four laps from the checkered flag.
“I thought we were going to end up with a Top-10, but that tangle ended our night,” Worth said. “Thanks to all of the THE guys for continuing to work hard and help me at these different venues.”
