PETERSEN MEDIA- Hitting the Silver Dollar Speedway for a pair of events over the weekend, Jonathan Allard saw late race contact end his bid at a sixth Dave Bradway Jr Memorial win, as he ultimately finished 15th.

“We had a really good car late in the race, but unfortunately we got used up with a handful of laps to go,” Allard said. “I hate it for Clyde and Marion Lamar, and all the guys who work so hard on this car.”

With 31 cars on hand for the 25th Annual Dave Bradway Jr Memorial, a race that Allard is the winningest driver of, JA kicked his night off by timing the Tri-C Manufacturing/K&N/ButlerBuilt backed entry in eighth fastest.

Finishing second in his heat race, Allard would not earn a spot in the night’s dash, and found himself in the 11th starting spot for the 40-lap main event. When the race went green, Allard was able to crack the Top-10 instantly as he ran in the ninth spot until the race’s first caution flew on the sixth lap.

The ensuing restart saw the 2014 Gold Cup Race of Champion get another position, as he worked into eighth, until the red flag flew on the 13th lap, putting him in the sixth spot. With cautions coming on the 14th and 18th laps, restarts would hurt Allard a touch, as he would slip back to the seventh position.

The next 18 laps would go without any stoppages, and Allard came alive, as the Tri-C Machine was working very well on the slicked off surface. Getting into the Top-Five, Allard was getting faster lap, after, lap as he would get as high as the third spot, before contact on the 36th lap would send his machine over the edge. Though he would restart, his night would end with a 15th place finish.

“The boys have been working so hard on this car, and like I said, I hate that our night ended this way,” Allard added. “We are continuing to work hard, and hopefully we can get Clyde and Marion Lamar a win very soon.”

Friday night, Allard and company were also in action at the Silver Dollar Speedway, but a power outage with five laps complete ended the night early, and JA was credited with a sixth place finish.

Allard would like to thank Tri-C Manufacturing, K&N, ButlerBuilt, Amerikote, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Red Line Oil, KSE Racing Products, Weld Wheels, NGK Spark Plugs, FK Rod Ends, Hunt Magnetos, Longacre Products, RCM Design, Ti64, A.R.T. Speed Equipment and Hoosier Tire for their support.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS: Races-23, Wins-2, Top 5’s-11, Top 10’s-13.

ON TAP: Allard the Tri-C Motorsports team will spend their weekend at the Silver Dollar Speedway for a point race on Friday night before the King of the West Series resumes their schedule on Saturday night for the 25th Annual Bradway Memorial!
