Lucas Ashe Set For Nor-Cal Posse Shootout in Placerville, CA
PETERSEN MEDIA: A very busy week in Northern California saw Lucas Ashe compete aboard both a winged 360 sprint car and also saw him get back to his roots as he competed in the Outlaw Kart Showcase in Chico, CA.
“It was great to get back in the sprint car and continue to learn how to tune on our car,” Lucas Ashe said. “Lee Lindgren and Tanner Thorson both helped so much last week, I really thank them for feeding me so much information.”
Taking on 46 cars both Wednesday and Thursday night in Chico, CA, Ashe would fail to make the feature event on both nights, but he was confident with what he was able to accomplish as he continues to act as driver and crew chief.
“Our results don’t show it as we finished 8th and 9th in the ‘B’ Mains, but I felt we were pretty fast all week,” Ashe added. “We had a heat race mishap on Wednseday and were almost able to rebound from it.”
With a long hiatus from his last winged 360ci race, Ashe still was able to hold his own as the field was stacked during both night’s of action.
“CJ Tucker has also been a really huge helping hand for our program, and I have to thank him along with my family for sticking with me and providing guidance,” Ashe added. “Looking forward to getting up to Placerville for two nights next weekend.”
