M&S Racing Teams With Kevin Sharrah At Fall Nationals; Set To Have Jonathan Cornell Driver at T
PETERSEN MEDIA- After a bit of a hiatus from Sprint Car racing, Chico, CA resident, Kevin Sharrah, returned to the seat of a winged sprint car on Saturday night, as he took the wheels of the M&S Racing No. 27 machine during the Fall Nationals.
With 52 cars on hand for the season ending event at the Silver Dollar Speedway, Sharrah showed some rust early in the night, as he timed the Angius & Terry/FVP/M&S Racing Engines backed entry in 39th fastest.
A seventh place effort in heat race action forced Sharrah into the night’s C Main event, where he would line up in the fifth spot.
Needing to get into the top-two to transfer into the B, Sharrah began to look more comfortable in the car, as he picked off cars slowly, as he got into the second spot, as he chased after Steven Tiner.
Making a few attempts to get around Tiner, Sharrah would transfer into the B, where he rolled off in the 15th position.
With the track continuing to slick off, and become a little bit more technical, Sharrah’s time away from the seat showed a little bit, as he had some sturggles, but picked up a few spots as he night ended the B Main event.
With the Fall Nationals in the rear view mirror, the M&S Racing team now set’s their sights on the upcoming Trophy Cup that is held in Tulare, CA at the Thunderbowl.
M&S Racing is pleased to announced that they have reached an agreement with Sedalia, MO driver, Jonathan Cornell.
Cornell made his first start at the Thunderbowl during the 2013 Trophy Cup, and the M&S Racing team is extremely excited to have him on board. 2014 has been a great season for Cornell in the Midwest, as he currently has 12 wins with various sanctioning bodies including the XX Speedway Track Championship, and for the third year in a row, the ASCS Warrior Region Championship.
