PETERSEN MEDIA- Fresh off of a big win at the Mark Forni Classic, Carson Macedo and his Tarlton Racing team headed to the Keller Auto Speedway on Friday night where Macedo again found himself in victory lane.
“It was such a fun race with Cory Eliason, and I am just glad we were able to come out on top,” Macedo said. “We were in the right place at the right time at Placerville and this one came after a hard fought battle.”
Getting off to a slow start in time trials, Macedo timed the Elite Landscape Construction/Tarlton and Son, Inc./Executive Auto Sales No. 21x machine in ninth fastest, but found himself on the front row of a heat race.
Taking advantage of the prime starting spot, Macedo would race his way to the win and put this Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino/Pabco Gypsum/Bandy and Associates entry in the Dash.
Able to pick up the Dash win, Macedo found himself on the pole of the 30-lap feature event alongside Cory Eliason.
With Macedo getting the jump, he would lead the first six laps before falling back to second was battling through traffic. A lap 11 restart would see Macedo roar back into the lead and check out from the field until another caution flew on the 16th lap.
This restart saw Eliason hang with the Lemoore, CA driver as they would take part in an exciting battle for the top spot corner after corner. Macedo would in fact hold strong and keep Eliason at bay as he raced to his second consecutive feature event win.
“I have to thank this entire Tarlton Racing team for continuing to support me and give me great equipment,” Macedo added. “Paul Baines and the guys had this car dialed in, and I am glad I was able to capitalize.”
Tarlton Racing would like to thank Elite Landscape Construction, Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, Corporate America Investments, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2015 season.
ON TAP: Macedo and his Tarlton Racing team will be back in action on August 29th at the Ocean Speedway for the Johnny Key Classic.
