Macedo Picks Up Pair Of Fourth Place Finishes

PETERSEN MEDIA- Lemoore, CA driver, Carson Macedo, put together a very impressive showing during the Second Annual Peter Murphy Classic that eventually saw him finish in the fourth spot.

“We were really good on Saturday night, but I took to long to move to the top of the race track during the feature event, and we finished in the fourth spot,” Carson Macedo said.

Turning in quick time honors with 36 cars checked into the pit area at the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA on Saturday night, Macedo would flex his muscle in heat race action as he charged from his second row starting position to pick up the win aboard his Elite Landscape Construction/Tarlton and Son Inc./Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino No. 21x machine.

Moving into the Pole Shuffle that was used in place of the Dash for this special event, Macedo would pull the one pill, and guarantee himself a front row starting position for the 30-lap feature event. Defeating Kyle Hirst in their match race, Macedo would win the shootout, and continue his impressive night as he earned the right to lead the field to the green flag.

Looking to pick up the win, and clean sweep the night, Macedo would fall back to the third spot as the race went green, only to see the red flag fly on the second lap. The stop would turn lengthy and it would allow his Paul Baines led crew to make some adjustments on his machine.

Over the course of the race, Macedo would battle with the Roth Motorsports duo of Aaron Reutzel and Kyle Hirst and would close his night out with a fourth place finish.

With his showing, Macedo sits second in the 2015 KWS point standings just three digits behind Bud Kaeding.

Making a rare appearance at the Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA on Friday night, Macedo would time in ninth fast amongst the 27 cars in the pit area, before winning his heat race in dominating fashion.

Finishing sixth in the Dash, Macedo would line up in the third row on an extremely slick and tricky racing surface. Running in the lead pack during the 30-lap feature event, Macedo would race wheel to wheel with Craig Sitdham and Kyle Hirst late in the feature event as he again finished in the fourth spot.

“I am just really luck to be in the position I am with this team, and I have to continue to thank the Tarlton family for supporting me,” Macedo added. “Paul Baines and my guys are a great support system, and they work very hard to give me great cars and I continue to try and get them into victory lane.”

Tarlton Racing would like to thank Elite Landscape Construction, Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, Corporate America Investments, and BG Lubricants for their support through the 2015 season.

ON TAP: Macedo will in action on Saturday night at the Stockton Dirt Track in Stockton, CA with the KWS.
