Macedo Runs 11th on Saturday Night
PETERSEN MEDIA- Carson Macedo left the Stockton Dirt Track frustrated on Saturday night. After turning in a nice qualifying effort, things didn’t go quite Macedo’s way as he ended the night with an 11th place finish.
“I just seemed to struggle after time trials,” Macedo said. “We got in the dash, and finishes seventh, and then went the wrong direction in the feature.”
20 cars would check into the pit area for the King of the West Event in Stockton, CA. Timing his Elite Landscape Construction/Tarlton and Son Inc./WFO Apparel No. 21x machine in fourth fastest, Macedo would line up in the night’s first heat race.
Chasing after Tyler Walker and Kyle Hirst in heat race action, Macedo would settle for a third place finish as his qualifying time would make his dash eligible. On a track that was becoming increasingly difficult to pass on as the night carried on, Macedo would start and finish in the seventh position, which lined him up in the fourth row for the 30-lap feature event.
With a majority of the field using the bottom of the speedway during the night, Macedo would search around the Stockton Dirt Track looking for grip to move his machine forward.
To no avail, Macedo would lose a few spots as he fought to keep his machine inside the Top-10. As the laps clicked on, and a couple restarts shuffled the field in the closing laps, the Lemoore, CA driver would close his Saturday night with an 11th place finish.
“It is never fun to lose ground during a race, but these nights happen from time to time,” Macedo said. “I just want to thank everyone on this team for continuing to work hard, and the Tarlton’s for continuing to support me.”
