PETERSEN MEDIA- With California in the rear view mirror, Ian Madsen and his KCP Racing team are looking forward to getting a very busy Midwest schedule started starting this Friday and Saturday night at the I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE.
“We did not have the trip out West we were hoping for, but we were able to get a head start on things, so hopefully it will allow us to come out strong when the NSL and Knoxville get underway,” Ian Madsen said.
A disappointing night at the Silver Dollar Speedway on Saturday night left Madsen and his team on the outside of the feature event looking in, before taking to a very wet and heavy Antioch Speedway on Sunday night.
After racing their way into the feature event on Sunday through the Last Chance Showdown, Madsen lined the Nehring Construction/Kline Electric/Logan Contractors Supply No. 18 machine up in the 19th spot.
On an extremely difficult track to gain ground on, Madsen was able to pick up a couple positions on the start of the race, to get in the 17th spot. With very little passing going on during an extremely fast race, Madsen would end his trip with a 17th place finish.
“Our focus now is on Nebraska this weekend,” Madsen said. “It is a great facility, and I hope a lot of fans come out and check out some racing. After this weekend we kick off our National Sprint League schedule, and we are all very eager to get that underway.”
Ian and his KCP acing team would like to thank Nehring Construction, Team Kline Electric, Logan Contractors Supply Inc., Greenland Homes of Iowa, Royal Flooring, Aspen Aire Inc. Heating and Cooling, Bobcat, The Stone Shop, Gator Excavating, TammyHeckart.com, Van Gorp Construction, Caliber Iowa, Quality Traffic Control, Flatrate, Inc., Speck USA, Kustom Concrete Pumping, Lucas Oil, Revolution Race Gear, INSPRO Insurance, Monarchs Restaurant and Lounge, Climate Master- Geothermal Heating and Cooling, XXX Race Co., Wings Unlimited for their support this season.
