(PETERSEN MEDIA- Stockton, CA )- Saturday night in Stockton, CA the curtain was raised on the 2019 pavement edition of the new POWRi BCRA Lucas Oil Midget Series, and it was Mark Maliepaard celebrating in victory lane when the checkered flag flew.
Starting his night out by timing in second fastest in qualifications, Maliepaard would prove to be the class of the field. The feature event would see a great battle between himself, Chad Nichols, and Frankie Guerrini.
While the trio put on an exciting show, in the end it was Maliepaard grabbing the first pavement win of the year followed by Nichols, Guerrini, JR Williams, and Robert Carson.

POWRI BCRA LUCAS OIL MIDGET SERIES- Founded in 1939, the Bay Cities Racing Association has a rich and flavorful history of midget racing in the “Golden State” of California. For eight decades, the BCRA has been giving drivers a proving ground and giving fans the thrilling races they crave, be it on the dirt tracks or on the pavement surfaces. In 2019, the series joined forces with POWRi to create the POWRi-BCRA Lucas Oil Midget Series.
