PETERSEN MEDIA- Doing everything he could to gain some points on current Civil War Series point leader, Andy Forsberg, Mason Moore would finish in the third spot on Saturday night at the Petaluma Speedway.

“We had a really good night, and I thought we were going to pick up some points on Andy Forsberg heading into the finale, but he had a good late restart and picked up two or three positions late in the race,” Mason Moore said. “My guys gave me a great car, and now we will look forward to Fall Nationals.”

Timing the F&F Racing No. x1 machine in third fastest in qualifying time trials, Moore would race his way to a second place finish in his heat race and earn a spot in the six-lap  Dash.

Pulling the five pill in the redraw, Moore would go onto pick up a fifth place finish aboard the Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office/LRB Race Products No. x1 machine which placed him in the third row for the 30-lap feature event.

On a heavy and fast Petaluma Speedway, Moore would hang around the Top-Five as he would find himself in a great battle with Bradley Terrell, Dominic Scelzi, and Andy Forsberg for much of the feature event.

Late in the race, contact between second and third would knock both drivers out of competition and Moore would move into the second spot for a final six-lap shootout to the checkered flag.

Lining up next to Sean Becker, Moore would fall back to the third spot as Forsberg would get around him in turns one and two. Giving chase to the lead duo in the final laps, Moore would hang on and claim the final spot on the podium when the checkered flag flew.

“We continue to be really fast, and that is a testament to the guys who work on this thing,” Moore said. “We are going to need a lot of things to go our way in November to win this deal, but we will just continue to focus on winning races.”

Moore would like to thank Coors Light, Econo Lube and Tune, Geico Local Office, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, ITC Service Group, Saureel, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.

ON TAP: Moore will be back aboard the F&F Racing entry this Friday and Saturday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, CA for the Fall Nationals.
