Mason Moore Second at Placerville with F&F Racing

PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to Placerville Speedway with F&F Racing, Mason Moore would fight of some late race gremlins to score a second place finish.
“It was a pretty good night for our team in Placerville, CA,” Mason Moore said. “We had a pretty good car and were in contention to win but we started to lose power steering and it got tough to drive.”
Timing the Geico/Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes/Twisted Tea No. x1 sprinter in 12th fastest in qualifying time trials Moore would get the jump from the front row of his heat race and pick up the win.
By way of his win, the Princeton, CA driver would earn a spot in the important redraw where the one pill would line him up on the front row of the 25-lap feature event.
Lining up next to another strong competitor at Placerville Speedway, Greg DeCaires, Moore would drop the hammer when the green lights flashed as he would jump out to the early lead.
Taking a liking to the bottom of the speedway, Moore would lead the way, as the race would come to a stop on the seventh lap.

“Once we got passed I was just trying to hang on, and we actually still ran really well,” Moore added. “Huge thanks to these guys for working so hard, and giving us a car that was in the mix all night.”
