PETERSEN MEDIA- A pair of 410ci events were on tap for Mason Moore over the weekend, as he picked up a sixth place finish on Friday night before limping to a 13th place finish on Saturday night with the King of the West Series in Petaluma, CA.
“Friday night we had good speed, but the track was tricky to pass on, and on Saturday night we were good all night, until getting caught up in wreck that was in front of us,” Moore said.
Timing in sixth fastest at the Silver Dollar Speedway, Moore would pick up the win during his heat race, and qualify for the night’s redraw. Finding himself with the hated eight-pill, Moore would line up in the fourth row for the 25-lap A Main event.
With the track tricky to pass on, Moore was selective when he made his moves, as he was able to get his Coors Light/ITC Service Group/LRB Race Products machine up into the sixth spot, where he would go on to finish.
Loading up, and traveling to the Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night to take on the King of the West Series, Moore get his night off to a great start as he timed the LRB Race Products/NAAKE Suspension/JRI Shocks backed No. 22 machine in eighth fastest, before winning his heat for the second night in a row.
By way of his third place finish in the dash, Moore would line up in the second row for the 30-lap feature event. Slipping back a few spots in the early goings of the feature event, Moore would spin his machine out to avoid a stalled car on the front stretch, and be forced to tag the back of the pack. Getting his machine going again Moore would again spin out later in the feature event, and ultimately close his night out with a 13th place finish.
“We have been really fast the last couple of weeks, we just cannot seem to catch a break,” Moore said. “I have to thank everyone who helps out, and support this team, because they are doing a great job.”
Mason and his team would like to thank Coors Light, ITC Service Group, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, JRI Shocks, Platinum Powder Coating, Selover Paint and Body, and Moore Insurance Services for their support in 2015.
2015 BY THE NUMBERS- Starts-26, Wins-0, Top-5’s-2, Top 10’s-10
ON TAP: Moore will be back in action on Saturday night as travels to the Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA with the King of the West Series.
