Michael Faccinto and F&F Racing 11th During Season Opening Event

PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Mother Nature was a race fan and stayed away long enough for F&F Racing’s season opening event. Teaming back up with Michael Faccinto in 2023, the team garnered an 11th place finish.

“It was great to get back in the car and get back to work,” Faccinto said. “We weren’t exactly where we wanted to be, but we are all looking forward to getting this season underway.”

With 25 cars checked into the track’s season opener, Faccinto kicked the night off by timing the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Lucas Oil backed entry in eighth quickest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, the Hanford, CA pilot settled into third and safely locked himself into the 25-lap opening night feature event.

Missing out on a redraw berth, Faccinto sat in a nice starting spot as he took the green flag from the fifth row on a very racy surface despite the area being pounded by rain for the past several weeks.

Following a caution on the opening circuit, Faccinto settled into 11th as we worked around the famed El Dorado County bullring. Briefly falling back to 12th at the halfway point of the race, Faccinto continued to hit his marks as be chased after a spot inside the Top-10.

A lap 23 caution flag moved the defending USAC Western States Midget Champion into 11th for the two-lap dash to the checkered, and he would maintain the spot as he capped the night off with an 11th place finish.

“I am extremely excited to be back with these F&F Racing guys, and I am looking forward to getting a full season in,” Faccinto added. “I am thankful for the opportunity, and excited for 2023.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Roseville Precision, Lucas Oil, , Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Sacramento Battery Company, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing is scheduled to return to action Saturday night back at Placerville Speedway with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.
