Michael Faccinto Continues Strong Runs at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Michael Faccinto and F&F Racing continue to be models of consistency at Placerville Speedway over the last month and a half. That remained true on Saturday night as Faccinto fought for the win again before finishing fourth when all was said and done.

“I feel like I say the same thing every week, but that just goes to show how consistent we have been the last handful of races,” Faccinto said. “We struggled the first few races of the season, but once we hit on what worked, we have been right in the mix night in and night out.”

17 cars checked into Placerville Speedway on Saturday night after taking part in festivities earlier in the week for July 4th, and Faccinto timed the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/Precision Civil Engineering backed No. x1 entry in third fastest in time trials after hitting the track as the first car on the clock.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Faccinto continued to showcase the team’s speed on the ¼ mile bullring as he surged forward and picked up a second-place finish.

Qualifying for the redraw, Faccinto pulled the four and lined up in the second row for the 25-lap feature event on the slick Placerville Speedway surface that had the customary thick cushion built up on both ends of the speedway.

When the green lights flashed, Faccinto was on the prowl as he chased after early leader, Tanner Carrick. Working his way forward, Faccinto battled the likes of Tony Gomes as well as youngster Seth Standley.

Racing into second, a called jump start on a late restart put Faccinto back into fourth with just a few laps remaining the race.

Battling Landon Brooks for the final spot on the podium in the closing laps, a spirited battle saw Brooks get the best of Faccinto in the last corner, as Faccinto capped his week off with a fourth-place finish.

“I do feel like we got a bit robbed with that start call late in the race, but we put ourselves in a great position and we keep finding ways to get better which is encouraging for all of us,” Faccinto added.

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Precision Civil Engineering, Roseville Precision, Lucas Oil, Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Sacramento Battery Company, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing and Michael Faccinto return to action at Placerville Speedway tomorrow night.
