Michael Faccinto Eyes SCCT Stop at Stockton on Saturday Night

PETERSEN MEDIA- Finishing 19th with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Michael Faccinto is eager to get back to work with the series this coming Saturday in Stockton, CA with F&F Racing.

“Saturday night, I really feel like we had a tough draw and that dictated a lot of our night,” Michael Faccinto said. “We weren’t able to get out of a really tough heat, but I felt like we were just a tick behind, and with how close the competition is right now it can be a lot. We tried a lot on Saturday night, got out of the B and into the A, and though our finish wasn’t great I think we are making the right moves and I am looking forward to getting back to Stockton (Dirt Track) on Saturday.”

Going out second to last in the 48-car field in time trials on Saturday night, the Hanford, CA driver timed the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/RPI backed No. x1 in sixth quickest in a very tough fourth group.

Lining up sixth in his heat race, Faccinto would battle hard for the fifth and final transfer position, but when the checkered flag flew he was on the outside and looking in as he ended dup sixth.

Forced into the ‘B’, Faccinto found himself on the pole as he needed to finish inside of the Top-Four to keep his night alive and earn a berth into the 35-lap feature event.

Leading from the race’s onset, Faccinto would get a feel for some of the changes made during the 15-lap semi as he picked up the win and successfully put the F&F Racing entry into the opening night feature event.

Rolling off of the starting grid from the 21st starting position by way of his ‘B’ Main win, Faccinto would find himself mired in dense traffic as he worked around the red clay of Placerville Speedway.

Able to pick up a few positions over the course of the race, Faccinto would get up as high as 16th before ending up finishing 19th when the race came to a close.

“These guys are working very hard, and I thought we were a lot better than our result in the feature shows,” Faccinto added. “Like I said, I am just really excited to get back to Stockton, CA this weekend.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Roseville Precision, Lucas Oil, , Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Sacramento Battery Company, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing is scheduled to return to action Saturday night at the Stockton Dirt Track with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour.
