Michael Faccinto Runs Third at Placerville Speedway with Del Morris Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA: Last Wednesday night, Michael Faccinto strapped into one of Del Morris’ Lucas Oil BCRC/POWRi Midgets and went to battle at Placerville Speedway. Against a talented field of cars, Faccinto put together a nice that and picked up a podium finish.

“I am really happy with the progress we have been making with the car,” Faccinto said. “We had a really quick car all night long and it is good to grab a podium.”

Faccinto kicked the night off by timing the Morris Insurance Agency/Homesmiles.com/Lucas Oil backed entry in seventh fastest in time trials amongst the 15 cars that stopped in for the rare mid week show.

Chasing after Cory Elliot in his heat race, Faccinto wouldn’t quite get to the race leader but did a great job of fending off Kyle Larson to record a second place finish and put his Morris Motorsports entry in the second row for the 25-lap feature event.

When the race came to life, Faccinto settled into the fourth position as he chased after the trio of Larson, Elliot, and Maria Cofer.

Moving into third on the 20thlap, Faccinto would give Elliot all he could handle for the runner up position, but having no avail the Fresno, CA driver would take the final spot on the podium on this night.

“It was a good night for us with some big races on the horizon,” Faccinto said. “We got some really good notes to take with us as we ready for some fun shows. Thanks to Del Morris and everyone on this team.”
