Michael Faccinto Sixth at Placerville Speedway’s Easter Eggstravaganza

PETERSEN MEDIA- Michael Faccinto and F&F Racing continue make improvements early in the 2023 season. Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Faccinto picked up a season best sixth place finish after spending much of the feature event battling inside the Top-Five.

“It was a good night for us back up on the hill,” Michael Faccinto said. “We have good speed most of the night, but towards the end of the feature we lack a little and it is something we are working on. We are getting there, and I appreciate all my guys for working so hard.”

With 35 cars checked into the pit area, Faccinto timed the Bushey Financial Services/C&H Motor Parts/RPI backed No. x1 in fifth fastest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, the Hanford, CA driver would need to transfer and have a little help to get into the redraw. Finishing second, he was locked into the feature event, and having some luck he was in the redraw with one of the top four qualifiers failing to make the transfer.

Pulling the three pill, Faccinto lined the Lucas Oil/Econo Lube-N-Tune and Brakes backed entry up in the second row for the 25-lap finale on a track that was wide and in good shape despite Friday evening rains in the area.

When the race came to life, Faccinto settled into third as he chased after the lead duo of Michael Ing and Tony Gomes. Running in third, Faccinto would slip back to fourth as Andy Forsberg raced his way passed on an early restart.

Continuing to battle inside the Top-Five, Faccinto raced hard with the likes of Forsberg, Caeden Steele, and Britton Marvel with the wide surface providing numerous lines around the ¼ mile bullring.

A couple of late restarts jumbled up the running order, and in the end, Faccinto capped his night off with a season best sixth place finish.

“It is nice that we are able to get in a groove and start running on a weekly basis,” Faccinto added. “Getting back up there this weekend, I am really confident we will be even better.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Bushey Financial Services, C&H Motor Parts, Roseville Precision, Lucas Oil, , Econo Lube-n-Tune & Brakes, Sacramento Battery Company, PitStopUSA, FVP, CRV Carbon Solutions, American River Overhead Door, All Pro Heads, Engler, and Don Ott Racing Engines for their support.

ON TAP: F&F Racing is scheduled to return to Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.
