Moore Fourth at Silver Dollar Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA-Mason Moore took to the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night to open up the Mini Gold Cup weekend, and put together a great night as he scored a fourth place finish.
“From start to finish it was a really good night for our team at the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night,” Moore said.
27 cars checked in for the tracks point season opening event, and Moore got things off to a very quick start as he timed the Coors Light/ITC Service group/LRB Race Products No. 22 machine in third quick in qualifying time trials.
Moore had quite the eventful heat race as contact at the start of his race ultimately saw him finish in the seventh spot, and force him into the night’s B Main for a final shot to transfer into the feature event.
On a very well prepared racing surface, Moore would line up on the front row of the semi, and walk away with the win, as he kept his night going with a trip to the feature event, where he would grid the field from the ninth starting spot.
Continuing to watch the ever-changing track, Moore and his team got his machine prepared for the feature event. As the race came to life, the Princeton, CA product, was hard on the throttle as he worked his way forward quickly, as he got by Johnny Reeves and Bud Wallberg as he pursued to the Top-Five.
Getting into the sixth spot, Moore would take advantage of Andy Forsberg’s late misfortune as he moved into the fifth spot, and chased after Robbie Price for the fourth spot. Battling with Price, Moore would ultimately get the spot, and then set his sights on Jonathan Allard for the final spot on the podium.
Unable to do anything with Allard, Moore would end his night with a fourth place finish.
“We came off of a frustrating weekend, and had a really nice showing at the Silver Dollar Speedway,” Moore said. “We were pretty good from start to finish, and hopefully we can carry that into next weekend’s 410ci opener at the track.”
.
Mason and his team would like to thank Coors Light, ITC Service Group, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, JRI Shocks, Platinum Powder Coating, Selover Paint and Body, and Moore Insurance Services for their support in 2015.
