Moore Fourth During Soggy Night at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- With the track crew working feverishly to get the Saturday night’s event at the Placerville Speedway in despite persistent rains, Mason Moore and his F&F Racing team would turn in a good night’s work as the Princeton, CA driver picked up a fourth place finish.

“It was really hooked up and fast on Saturday night, and I was hoping to just pick up a couple of spots and not do anything to crazy with the conditions,” Moore said. “Luckily some things went our way, and we had a really fast racecar that allowed us to move up and finish in the fourth spot.”

Timing the Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office/LRB Race Products entry in second fastest in time trials, Moore would earn a third place finsh in his heat race and solidify his place in the nightly redraw.

With luck not quite on his side on this night, Moore would find himself with the eight pill, and starting in the fourth row on an extremely hooked up racing surface on a damp night in Placerville, CA.

Driving a very patient race, Moore was able to get by Matt Peterson and Logan Seavey in the first few laps as he worked up into the sixth spot. Giving chase to Jonathan Allard, Moore would take advantage of a bobble to move into the fifth spot as the laps clicked down.

Holding on to take the checkered flag in the fifth spot, Moore would officially be scored fourth as a driver failed to stop at the scales post race, and Moore moved up another spot.

“It was a good night overall for this team, and it was another good points night for us,” Moore said. “It is still early to think about points, but obviously it is a good thing to get off to a nice start. This team has been so much fun to drive for, and hopefully we can keep running well.”

ON TAP: Moore will return to the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night before heading back to the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.
