PETERSEN MEDIA- Battling with the King of the West Series on Saturday night at the Placerville Speedway, Mason Moore had one of those nights that he would like to throw out as he is already looking ahead to this weeks action.
“There really isn’t much to talk about,” Moore said. “We struggled in all facets of Saturday night, and were just going to throw that night out.”
Timing his Coors Light/Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office No. 22 machine in 17th fastest before finishing sixth in his heat race, which would force him into the night’s B Main.
Having his hands full in the semi, Moore would finish in the sixth spot, which was good enough to move him into the 30-lap feature event. From the tail end of the field, Moore would see a pair of incidents break out in front of him and he would unfortunately be collected in both.
After an accident on the 26th lap, Moore would take his machine back to his trailer as his night would come to a close.
“It was frustrating, but that happens when you put yourself in the back of the pack,” Moore said. “There isn’t too much to dwell on, we will just work on being better this weekend and hopefully get back up front where this car belongs.”
Moore would like to thank Coors Light, Econo Lube and Tune, Geico Local Office, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.
ON TAP: Moore will return to the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night before heading back to the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night.
