Moore Scores 4th Win Of 2016

PETERSEN MEDIA- Mason Moore continued his strong 2016 campaign at the Placerville Speedway on Saturday night as he charged from the fourth row to claim his fourth overall win of the 2016 season, and his third with the F&F Racing team at the high banked ¼ mile.

“It was a really fun track to race on Saturday night, and I have to thank Alan Bradway, Tooch, and all the guys for giving me a car that was good enough to win from the seventh starting spot,” Mason Moore said.

Getting his night off to a great start, Moore would time the Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office/LRB Race Products backed No. x1 machine in second fastest, putting him in the second row of the second heat race.

Working his way forward on the famed red clay surface, Moore would finish in the second spot and solidify his spot in the nightly redraw. To his dismay, Moore would pull the seven pill on this night, which placed the Lucas Oil/CRV/Moore Insurance Services entry in the fourth row for the 25-lap feature event.

On the slick Placerville Speedway surface, Moore would shine as he quickly raced his way up into the fourth spot. With the beefy cushion built up all around the speedway, the surface would allow for great side-by-side action. Falling back to fifth at point, Moore would reclaim the fourth spot as the yellow flag flew with eight laps to go.

Getting by Sean Becker on the restart to take over the third spot, Moore would dive to the bottom of the speedway to get past Greg DeCaires for the second spot. Chasing after Andy Gregg, Moore would get by the leader out of turn four on the 19th lap and never look back.

Glued to the bottom of the speedway for the final five laps, Moore would pick up his third win of the season at the track, and extend his season long points lead.

“I was pretty good on the top early in the race, and I saw a couple of guys using the bottom, so knew it was down there if I needed it,” Moore added. “We had a good run through the field, and I am really happy we were able to get this F&F Racing entry back in victory lane!”

Moore would like to thank Coors Light, Econo Lube and Tune, Geico Local Office, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, ITC Service Group, Saureel, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.

ON TAP: Moore will be back in action on Friday night at the Silver Dollar Speedway as he climbs aboard his Mason Moore Racing No. 22.
