0154

PETERSEN MEDIA- A week removed from a tough night in the Mason Moore Racing machine, Mason Moore and Brian Cannon showed up at Silver Dollar to go to work in the special Brian Cannon Motorsports No. 22 entry on Friday night for the David Tarter Memorial.

“It was a pretty good night,” Mason Moore said. “We timed in well, but we missed it in out heat race and had to come from the ‘B’. In the feature we battled in the Top-10 all night and ended up finishing seventh.”

Timing the Mike’s Harder Lemonade/Garth Moore Insurance/FK Rods No. 22 machine in fifth fastest on Friday night, Moore would find himself in a dogfight with Justyn Cox for the final transfer position in heat race competition.

With the Silver Dollar Speedway surface a tough on the narrow side early in the night, Moore would lose the position to Cox and find himself in the ‘B’ Main. Running second in the semi, Moore would successfully advance to the 35-lap feature event where he would take the green flag from the ninth starting position.

In the feature event, Moore would settle into the Top-10, as he found himself in a pack of cars much of the race battling for the seventh- tenth positions. Fighting with the likes of Sean Becker, Michael Kofoid, and Michael Ing at times during the race, Moore would find himself in seventh when the race finally came to end after two attempts at a green-white-checkered.

“It really is a great race to be a part of,” Mason Moore said. “The race means a lot to so many and I appreciate everyone who goes out of their way to help put on a great race. I also have to thank my guys for all of their hard work, and our partners for their continued support.”

Brian Cannon Motorsports would like to thank Mike’s Harder Lemonade, Garth Moore Insurance, FK Rod Ends, and Mountain Mikes Pizza for their support in 2018.
