PETERSEN MEDIA- Amidst an extremely tight point race for the Civil War Series championship, Mason Moore would finish in the sixth spot at the Marysville Raceway on Saturday night, as the battle stays tight with just two races to go.

“We lost some points on Saturday night, but we still have two races to make up ground,” Moore said. “It was a tough track on Saturday night but we made do with what we had and finished sixth.”

Timing the Econo Lube and Tune/Geico Local Office/LRB Race Products No. x1 in seventh fastest in qualifying time trials, Moore would proceed to win his heat race and move on into the nightly Dash.

With the pill draw not playing nice, Moore would pull the seven pill and the Princeton, CA pilot would line up in the last row of the six-lap shootout. On the hooked up and fast surface, Moore would finish in the seventh spot, placing him in the fourth row for the 30-lap finale.

As the night went on the track would continue to stay too good, and the feature event would not allow many guys to work their way forward. With most of the Top-Five running the same torrid pace, Moore would pick up a couple of spots as he ran in the sixth spot.

Lap 29 would see the yellow flag waive and put the field nose to tail for a final two-lap shootout to the finish. Trying to break into the Top-Five in the final laps, Moore would be unsuccessful as he would take the Ed Entz checkered flag with a sixth place finish.

“I have to thank the guys for working hard for me and giving us a great car for the feature,” Moore added. “We will now look forward to Petaluma and do all we can to get this F&F Racing car into victory lane.”

Moore would like to thank Coors Light, Econo Lube and Tune, Geico Local Office, LRB Race Products, NAAKE Suspension, K&N, Selover Paint and Body, Lucas Oil, ITC Service Group, Saureel, and Moore Insurance Services for their support.

ON TAP: Moore will be in action on Saturday night at the Petaluma Speedway for the series’ penultimate event.
