PETERSEN MEDIA-  A week after the Placerville Speedway took rubber in the feature event, Andy Forsberg was greeted with a heavy and rough surface that he enjoyed and wound up scoring a second place finish aboard the F&F Racing No. x1 machine.

“It was my kind of track, and we just got beat by Greg DeCaires, and we definitely congratulate that team,” Forsberg said.

Timing in second fastest on the famous Placerville Speedway red clay, Forsberg would go on to finish third in his heat race aboard the Lucas Oil/Pit Stop USA/HRP backed No. x1 machine, earning him a berth in the night’s redraw.

Finding himself with the four pill, the Auburn, CA rolled off for the 25-lap feature event in the second row, with CJ Humphries and Jimmy Trulli leading the field to green.

When the green flag waived, Forsberg jumped into the third spot as he chased after early leader, Humpries, and second running, Greg DeCaires.

Using the high, scary side, Forsberg would get by Humphries to take over the second spot, as he then began reeling, and chasing after DeCaires.

As the race began it’s home stretch, Forsberg was able to get up alongside DeCaires on a couple of occasions, but was unable to make the pass happen, and he settled for the second spot at the stripe.

“We had a really good car, but we just got beat,” he said. “I thought we might have had a shot when traffic got heavy, but he drove a great race. We were right there too, and it was a very fun night, and a fun track. I can’t thank Allan and Tooch, and everyone for their hard work and giving me such a great car.”

F&F Racing would like to thank Lucas Oil, Pit Stop USA, HRP, CRV, Inventory Sales, A.R.T. Speed Equipment, Wilwood, and Kaizer Wheels, K&N, Roseville Precision, Autism Speaks, FK Rod Ends, and PT Shocks for their support in 2014.

ON TAP: The F&F Racing team will be back in action on Friday night for the Fourth of July Spectacular at the Placerville Speedway before heading to the Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night for the fifth round of Civil War Series Presented By Flowmaster action.
