Offill 10th to Open 2021 at Marysville Raceway

PETERSEN MEDIA: Getting his 2021 season kicked off on Saturday night, Kyle Offill and the Country Builders Racing team checked in at Marysville Raceway where the Tracy, CA driver would pick up a 10th place finish after dealing with some opening night gremlins.

“Saturday night was a pretty solid start to our season,” Kyle Offill said. “It was nice to work with Brandon Ikenberry, and I look forward to getting in a few more races with him while he is out in California.”

With the track taking a little longer than normal to come in, Offill would appreciate the late time trial draw as he would time the Country Builders/Ochoco West/Brown and Miller backed No. 88 machine in ninth fastest amongst the 24 cars checked in for action.

Putting his machine on the front row of his heat race, Offill would take advantage of the prime starting position as he would leave the field in his wake. Able to race his way to the win, Offill would earn a spot in the nightly redraw where the six pill placed him in the third row for his first feature event of the season.

As the race came to life, Offill would feel something amiss on the right front corner of his car. Realizing it was a shock issue, Offill would have his hands full as he dealt with the problem on a surface that was extremely heavy and hooked up.

Hanging on to a couple of close calls that nearly saw him lose the handle on his machine, Offill would continue to keep his mount inside the Top-10.

When the fast-paced feature event came to a close, Offill would bring his Maas Bro./Reliable Lumber/Boise Cascade entry home with a 10tbh place finish to kick off the 2021 season.

“In the feature something went south with our right-front shock, and I was really on the right-front which was tricky with how the track was,” Offill noted. “We had a couple of close calls that could have been bad, but happy with the Top-10. Again, thanks to Brandon, my family, and everyone that continue to help our team out. Looking forward to getting back to racing.”

Kyle Offill would like to thank Country Builders, Ochoco West, Brown and Miller, Maas Bros., Reliable Lumber, Boise Cascade, Offill Family Farms, Weld Wheels, HRP, FK Shocks, Arai America Helmets, Hinchman Racewear, Maxim Chassis, and B. Scadden Design for their continued support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 1, Wins: 0, Top 5’s: 0, Top 10’s: 1

ON TAP: Offill and team are not sure where they will be in action next.
