PETERSEN MEDIA- Continuing his season opening stint with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, Parker Price-Miller took some lumps at the daunting Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA.
“It’s tough out here,” Parker Price-Miller said. “Time trials dictates everything and with how close everything is, the slightest mistake can dictate your night and we are having a tough go.”
The two-night program and Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, CA got underway Friday night, and the Kokomo, IN wheelman would get things started off by timing the 360 Yield/Chalk Stix/Pioneer backed No. 2 machine in 26th fastest in qualifying time trials.
Stuck in the B main on this night, Price-Miller’s night would come to an end early in the race as cars would get together in front of him, and it would result in his machine getting upside down on the back stretch.
Fortunately with minor damage to his entry, PPM and company were able to make repairs and return to action on Saturday night. Again timing in 26th fastest in qualifying time trials, Price-Miller would finish seventh in his heat race and make a trip to the night’s Last Chance Showdown.
Unable to work his way into the ‘A’, Price-Miller’s weekend would come to a close.
“We are all disappointed with our results, but we aren’t getting down,” Price-Miller said. “We are making our first appearance at some of these tracks, and we are learning on the fly. We will keep at it, and good things will come.”
