PETERSEN MEDIA- Making his way to Knoxville, IA on Saturday night to take part in Knoxville Raceway’s 2019 season opener, Parker Price-Miller would run well at the famed facility as he came home with an eighth place finish.
“Leaving Knoxville, I am happy with where we are at,” Parker Price-Miller said. “We ran eight, but I know we could have been a ton better and that is definitely a positive.”
Timing the Indy Race Parts/HRP Specs/Chalk Stix backed No. 71P machine in third quickest amongst a strong 33-car field on Saturday night, the Kokomo, IN driver would go from sixth to fifth in heat race action.
Taking the green flag from the second row, PPM would settle into fourth as he worked around the extremely slick ½ mile raceway. Battling with the likes of Kerry Madsen, Aaron Reutzel, and teammate Gio Scelzi, PPM would do a great job of holding his own against some Knoxville veterans.
As the race moved on in rapid-fire fashion, and actually went green-to-checkered nonstop, PPM would fade a little towards the end of the race but still finished in the eighth position as Doug Clark dropped the checkered flag.
“It was as slick as I had ever seen the place on Saturday night, and we faded a little towards the end,” PPM added. “Still, really happy with the night overall, and I now big things are going to happen for us in the coming races.”
Price-Miller and his team would like to thank Indy Race Parts, HRP Specs, Chalk Stix, Howard Johnson of Lima, Maxim, Wilwood, and Keizer Wheels for their support in 2019.
