(PETERSEN MEDIA- Aptos, CA)- After taking control of both the Civil War Series Presented by Flowmaster and the King of the West Series in 2014, the Prentice Motorsports Group is pleased to announce that they will assume the leadership role for the Wingless Shootout Series Presented by Joe Hunt Magnetos starting in 2015.
“We are very pleased to add the Wingless Shootout Series Presented by Joe Hunt Magnetos to our team,” John Prentice said. “It is a great class, and we look forward to having them on hand at a few Civil War and KWS shows in 2015, and I really thank Roger Gleeson for making this all possible.”
With the ownership of the WSS moving over to PMG, the rules package will stay the same as it was in 2014, and races will still be $1000 to win, and $130 to start.
“I have taken the series as far as I can, and I think the Prentice Motorsports Group can really help it grow,” former series director, Roger Gleeson said. “John and his staff have shown they have a great system in place, and when he approached me about this I knew it was best for the series, the racers, and our fans.”
The series will remain a traveling series with a 10-race schedule, though in 2015 most races will be ran with either the Civil War Series Presented By Flowmaster or the King of the West Series. Joe Hunt Magnetos has also signed on to remain the title sponsor for the Wingless Shootout Series through the 2016 season.
“We think this is a great addition to our group, and are really excited to have them run with the Civil War Series and the KWS in 2015,” Prentice added. “We think fans will enjoy even more sprint car racing at these shows, and we hope the WSS drivers enjoy sharing the stage with our winged classes, and we are excited about working with Joe Hunt Magnetos.”
