Price 13th at Yakima Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Fresh off of a fourth place finish with the California Civil War Sprint Car Series, Robbie Price competed at the Yakima Speedway in Washington over the weekend and faded at the end as he scored a 13th place finish after battling inside the Top-10 during much of the race.

“The track was pretty slick early in the night, and that hurt me in time trials, and we were in catch up mode from that point,” Robbie Price said.

Lining up 10th in his heat race, Price was able to do some moving and shaking as he worked his Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 21 machine up to a fifth place finish.

With the track continuing to slick off and deteriorate, it was evident that it would take rubber very early in the feature event. Lining up 17th in the feature, Price was able to again work his way forward, as he would crack the Top-10, and work towards the Top- Five.

On a very narrow track that was tough to pass on, Price would get up to the seventh spot, but in his efforts to continue to gain spots, he would miss the rubber and get out of line, and as that happened he slipped back to 13th, where he would ultimately finish.

“With the rubber down, the track was pretty narrow, but we were good enough to make some ground,” Price added. “We got up to seventh, but I missed the rubber and fell back to 13th.  I have to thank everyone for all of their help, and I am looking forward to getting back to California this weekend.”

Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.

2015 BY THE NUMBERS- Starts-6, Wins-0, Top-5’s-1, Top 10’s-2
