PETERSEN MEDIA- Continuing to have a very strong, and impressive, rookie season, Robbie Price broke through on Saturday night and picked up his first career 360ci winged sprint car win, while also making his debut aboard a 410ci winged sprint car and finishing third while in action at the Skagit Speedway.

“It was a really great weekend overall, and I have to thank everyone who has been so supportive since we started,” Price said.

In 360 action on Saturday night, Price timed his Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 21 machine in second fastest, before he carved his way forward from his fourth starting spot in his heat race to pick up the win.

Lining up in the second row of the feature event, Price was hard on the throttle as he worked his way forward in exciting fashion as he ripped around the Skagit Speedway. Quickly finding himself in a battle for the top spot, Price would flex his muscle and jump into the lead on the third lap.

Once in front, Price was very strong, as he worked around the speedway he has the most laps on in his brief career, and went on to pick up his first career win in exciting fashion.

The notable night also saw the Cobble Hill, BC driver make his debut aboard a 410ci sprint car. After mechanical issues in hot laps kept him from getting a time in qualifications, Price would line up eighth in his heat race and work his way to the sixth spot.

Continuing to get comfortable with the added horsepower, Price would line the Tiger Towing/Rod End Supply/Northwest School of Martial Arts No. 21 up in the fifth row.

As the race went on, Price continued to get comfortable, as he worked his way forward. By the end of the race, the 16-year-old had worked his way up into the lead pack, as he closed his night out with a third place finish.

“A great effort by our whole team helped us grab a win and a third place finish,” he added. “Mark Huson really had these cars dialed in, and I really thank him for all of his help. It’s been fun getting more comfortable over the last few weeks, and we are all looking forward to getting back to the track.”

Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.
