PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting back on the pavement over the weekend, Robbie Price made the trip to Meridian, ID where he would pick up finishes of fourth and sixth place.
“I thought we had a good weekend overall,” Robbie Price said. “I wish I could have finished even better, but like they say you can’t win them all.”
Hitting the pavement on Friday night, Price would push the issue a little too hard in qualifying time trials and end up ninth fastest in the session. Lining up in the third row of his heat race, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would finish in the second spot.
Gridding the field from the fifth row, Price was able to work his way forward patiently as he ran in the seventh spot when the caution waived with just four laps to go.
Getting a couple of positions on the ensuing restart, a nasty wreck would cause extreme fence damage, and the race would be called with Price finishing in the fourth spot.
Returning to action on Saturday night, Price would hit the track for time trials immediately after one of his competitors lost an engine on the speedway. Dealing with some Quick Dry still on the surface, Price would not quite get the lap he had hoped for but still timed in fifth fastest.
Taking the green flag for his heat race in the second row, Price continued to move forward as a second place finish would put him in the third row of the feature event.
Working extremely hard in the feature event, Price would find himself running in the sixth spot. Burning off his tires as he searched for grip to get moving forward, Price would close his weekend out with a sixth place finish.
“I just want to thank everyone who made this weekend possible, and gave me the opportunity to race at a new track,” Price added. “Going from dirt to pavement is helping me, and I am excited to see what we can do on the dirt this weekend.”
Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.
