PETERSEN MEDIA- Parker Price-Mller and his PPM Motorsports team headed to Ohio over the weekend to take on the All Star Circuit of Champions, and in the end, Price-Miller crossed the stripe 13th in what was his first appearance at the Attica Raceway Park.
“We are making a ton of progress with our car, and our entire team is pleased with how things went on Saturday night,” Price-Miller said
With 45-cars on hand for the series’ official season opener, Price-Miller timed his PPM Titanium Products/Indy Race Parts/Keizer Wheels backed entry in 12th fastest overall, and seventh in his group, so he lined up seventh in his heat race per new All Star rules.
From the fourth row of his heat race, the Kokomo, IN driver would work his way forward to a fifth place finish, but with only the top four transferring to the feature, he would be forced into the night’s B main event.
Lining up on the pole of the semi, Price-Miller continued to get comfortable on the extremely slick surface, as he would lead every lap to score the win, and move into the night’s 40-lap feature event.
With crew chief, Rick Ferkel, making adjustments to his machine, Price-Miller would grid the field from the 21st starting position. As the race came to life Price-Miller quickly began moving forward through the field, as he cracked the Top-10 by race’s halfway point.
As the track continued to go away, and get extremely dusty, Price-Miller would have a little trouble finding grip aboard his CSI Shocks/Select Equipment backed entry, and would slip back a few spots.
When the 40-lap feature came to a close, Price-Miller came across the finish line with a 13th place finish.
“Everyone has always told me how tough this place is, especially on your first night, so to run well with a very strong field is a huge shot of confidence,” he added. “I am really happy with how we performed, and am thankful to everyone for all of their hard work and support.”
Price-Miller and his team would like to thank PPM Titanium Products, Indy Race Parts, Keizer Wheels, CSI Shocks, Select Equipment, Wesmar Racing Engines, Esslinger, and Triple X Race Components for their continued support.
