PETERSEN MEDIA- Coming into Knoxville Nationals week after a rough crash in the 360 Nationals finale, Parker Price-Miller would end his rookie attempt in the C Main.
“It was eventful, that is for sure, but I am happy with the experience I gained during the Nationals,” Price-Miller stated.
Looking to just shake his car down during the Capitani Classic last Sunday night, Price-Miller would time the PPM Titanium Products/Indy Race Parts/Keizer Wheels No. 9p machine in 12th fastest during qualifying time trials.
Starting on the front row of his heat race, the Kokomo, IN driver would get the jump and race his way to the win and earn a spot in the Main event, though he was sore from his wreck the night before.
Still a little sore, and with the Knoxville Nationals on the horizon, Price-Miller would opt just to make a few more laps and call it an early night in the feature event.
Returning home for a few days of his senior year in high school, Price-Miller would return to the track on Thursday night for his Knoxville Nationals qualifying night.
Timing in 20th fastest against he 57 cars checked in to take time, Price-Miller would slip back to finish sixth in his heat after taking the green in the fifth starting position.
Lining up eighth in the B, Price-Miller would struggle during the first few laps and slip back to finish in the 10th spot forcing his team to return to action for another qualifying night on Friday.
With 80 cars checked to see where they would line up during the Saturday night program, Price-Miller would lay down a great lap in time trials as he timed in eighth fastest amongst the 40-cars in his flight.
Finishing second in his heat, ‘The Law Firm’ would line up 11th in the night’s A-Main event. Looking at a chance to lock into the Saturday night A Main with a top-four finish, Price-Miller would go the wrong direction as he just could not get going.
Taking the checkered flag in the 20th spot, Price-Miller would find himself in the fourth row of the Saturday night C Main event.
As the Saturday night program rolled around, Price-Miller fought his car the first few laps, but as he settled down, and settled into the race he got to making some really good laps though he would end his first attempt at the Knoxville Nationals with a 17th place effort.
“We would have like to turn in a strong performance, but at the end of it all it was a really good learning experience for myself,” Price-Miller said. “I have to thank my team for all of their hard work and we are all looking forward to the final months of the season.”
Price-Miller and his team would like to thank PPM Titanium Products, Indy Race Parts, Keizer Wheels, CSI Shocks, Select Equipment, Wesmar Racing Engines, Esslinger, and Triple X Race Components for their continued support.
