Price-Miller Sixth at Lincoln

PETERSEN MEDIA- Parker Price-Miller traveled to the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, IL on Friday night to take on the Lucas Oil POWRi Series, and after a  very strong performance early in the night, Price-Miller would finish in the sixth spot.

“Our night started off really well,” Price-Miller said. “Not that it means much, but we were fastest in hot laps, and felt really good heading in to our heat race.”

Lining up in the fifth spot in heat race action, Price-Miller made an early statement as he flew around the Lincoln Speedway, working his way up to the lead, and going on to win his heat race.

Finding himself on the pole for the feature event, Price-Miller continued to be very strong, as he quickly jumped out to an early lead as Darren Hagan chased after him.

With Hagan hot on his tail, Price-Miller remained cool, and collected in front of the field, until the eighth lap when Hagan was able to sneak by, and assume the lead.

Price-Miller’s machine noticeably started to tighten up on him, and he slowly lost positions.

Wrestling his machine around the speedway, Price-Miller did what he could to keep his machine near the front, as he ended the night with a sixth place finish.

“We think we lost a shock during the feature,” Price-Miller said. “We were really strong all night, but we got really tight, and then we fell back. It was a disappointing to end to what was a strong night.”

Price-Miller and his team would like to thank PPM Titanium Products, Indy Race Parts, Keizer Wheels, CSI Shocks, Select Equipment, Wesmar Racing Engines, Toyota, Toyota TRD, and Triple X Race Components for their continued support.

2014 BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-34, Wins-1, Top 5’s-6, Top 10’s-13.

ON TAP: Price-Miller is kicking around the idea of taking on the USAC National Sprint Car Series on Thursday at the Lincoln Park Speedway during Indiana Sprint Week, but will for sure be in action at the Belle Clair Speedway on Friday, the St. Francois County Raceway on Saturday and the Angell Park Speedway on Sunday.
